I make my own single strand leaders using .029 wire. I was wondering if someone had a meathod for getting the wire straight. Mine always have that rainbow arc that comes from being on the coil. I have tried the Du Bro straightener but it doesn't seem to be working.

Hi Chad,
I usually make my leaders first because this trick seems to work better while holding the loops. Hold a loop in one hand with the arch of the leader facing down(rainbow). I then use my index and pinky finger on the bottom of the wire spread out to create pressure and them in the middle pressing down with my thumb with opposite pressure to straighten them out. I slide my three fingers down the entire leader with opposite pressure and it seems to straighten them almost perfectly.
hope this made sense
Kly
