Location: Toronto On | I am looking for my first muskie fishing rig. I have a fellow that
wants to sell the following items to me (please note the prices are
in Canadian funds, so knock off about 71% to get it into American $)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
a 7' 6" Premier med.heavy fast action 17-40 lbs and 3/4 to 3 oz. Great for big crankbaits $ 150.
A Shimano Corsair 400 right hand $ 90
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Location: mount prospect illinois | Good rod but i would also maybe get a 6500c3 or a Maina reel (comperable pricing) before getting a corsair. They have a history of being troublesome. That being said, i havent used one in a while so maybe the issues were addressed and fixed. |

Location: Illinois-Indiana | I hate to say this but the Corsiar is junk.
I never say that about a product but but all my experiences with them are bad, they won't hold up to the abuse. I'm not knocking Shimano, I have 4 Calcuttas and a couple Curados.
Depending on your budget Calcutta ($200)
6500 or 5500 Abu Garcia around $70-$100
The rod on the other hand is top notch, you will be happy with it. |

| The rod is great but go with a 6500 C3 as your reel. |
