Location: Central Pennsylvania | Which would be better for all purpose bigger baits? If I was to get a Big Nasty it would be used. I throw gliders the most and that's what the setup would be used for mostly. Thanks! |

| The XXH Chaos Tackle rod is really good for big baits, including big gliders. I tried using a Big Nasty with big Phantoms, and it didn't feel like a good idea. |

| I can and do use my Big Nasty for gliders. The tip is pretty responsive for those baits, but it is more about the reel than it is about the rod for me.
I also have a Musky Innovations Pro Bulldog rod, 7.5 footer. That thing works those kinds of baits better. Shorter rod makes for a better snap to get those baits to glide.
Big Nasty can do it, but it's more work and a different cadence than that 7.5 footer. |

Location: Central Pennsylvania | The thing is, when I say big I just mean just heavier baits. I don't want to throw any glides that are much over 8". I don't even own any baits, in general, over like 11.25". I want the rod for that size glides plus dive and rise and small to medium rubber. |

Location: mercer wi | I see your talking about 9' rods but I love my sling blade for gliders and suicks. It also handles mid dussas and regular Dawgs too. |

I have literally LOTS of muskie rods, and use the TI 7.5' XH for what you described. |

Location: Central Pennsylvania | I'm sure that the 7.5' rods are best for gliders when working the rod in downward pulls, except I shore fish, and even with a 6', I could not work the rod downwards. I go to the side so rod length doesn't bother me much.
Side note- If I get on my favorite rock I can work downward twitches lol |

| I see. Before getting a 7.5' rod, I used a Okuma H, 8.5' telescoping rod with gliders, using a side motion. Plus, it might make getting to spots along the shore a little easier in the collapsed position. Nice rod for the price. |
