I have aquired some baits without split rings and was wondering what size rings to use for small/medium size cranks/glides etc. Is size 5 a good all around size?

I've bought #5 and #7. One thing I've noticed is look at how thick the wire is you are attaching too. I've ruined a few #5 because the wire was too thick and left openings in the rings. I've adopted the idea that I'll use the smallest size I can to keep the action as high as possible. On bigger baits #7 all the way. Having said that buy quality rings, ive bought stealth tackle. Good rings but like I said too thick of wire will leave gaps. But if you only want 1 size get the #7s as mentioned above.
