| with above average non musky fishery. Trying to get vacation ideas where I can satisfy my musky needs as well as put other family members including my now 2 year old on decent panfish action. Would also like to get older family members a chance at northerns, bass, and walleyes if possible. Not looking for any "secret" lake, just a good all around lake to have a family vacation at. Thanks.

| We did just such a vacation this year at Vermilion. LOTW South!A beautiful pond with plenty of species to go around. A big lake, but lots 'o' islands to get away from rough stuff.Get ahold of MuskieTom or Ace(Terry Sjoberg)both excellent guides that can steer you in the right direction as far as fishing and lodging.Good Luck. Location: Greenfield, WI | North Twin Lodge, on North Twin Lake in Vilas County, WI is a great option. I have been going there for 10 years. They have the best of all worlds, a very good muskie fisheree, all the other fisherees, great variety of structures, a very nice sand beach with a very gradual drop off, outstanding boat slips in a protected area of the 3800 acre lake, and lodging that would keep the most "citified" greenhorn traveler happy, play equipment for kids, a club house with satillite TV, a paved basketball court, hiking trails, and all located within minutes of shopping and eating at Eagle River and Phelps. This resort and the surrounding area have the old up-north flavor to it!
Tom & Kay Hickson are long time owner/operators and can be reached at 715-545-3474. The muskie activity is the best in June (before the mosquitos appear!)

Vermilion would be a great option for any and all species, plus it is just one of the prettiest places around. It might be on the busy side this summer with more Muskie guys pre-fishing for September. If interested I can give you a list of places that are not far from good panfish areas.
A couple of other options would be the Alexander and Shaminue lakes between Camp Ripley and Brianerd. This would put you close enough to Brainerd for something to do.
Woman and Little Boy around Longville would be good too.
