Location: Illinois-Indiana | What do you guys think about using twin tail grubs instead of the normal single tail grubs as trailers on you bucktails. Wouldn't the twin tails offer more action.

You definately get more action and it also seems to make the bucktail run just a little bit shallower then usual. Tony Grant used to make them under the name of "Producer" tackle. Don't know if he still does or not. Hulbert

Posts: 1335 Location: Chicago, Beverly | I find it depends on the bucktail. I'll try both, see how it runs and looks, and then decide which one to use. My Musky Candy seems to like a single tail grub. Some of my bigger stuff the double tail seems better.

Posts: 2091 Location: Stevens Point, WI | I've been using twin tails for years with good success, I prefer a bucktail with them vs. a single tail.

Posts: 20278 Location: oswego, il | Hey guys, be careful with the powerbait grubs. I only use the really big magnum one ro make baits now, the others were brittle and broke on me after a few casts. Had one break on me just handling it. They sure smell good though.
