I currently have a 2017 Powerdrive V2 on my boat. This unit itself is a hand held remote only. No foot pedal.

My brother just upgraded trolling motors and is willing to party ways with his 2007 Minnkota Terrova for very cheap. Im curious if any of you have experience with swapping heads on an older model trolling motor.

My brother currently has the I-pilot head and from what I understand I could get an I-pilot link head as well for this model.

My only question is? If I were to put an I-pilot head or I-pilot Link head on this motor does that take away the foot pedal or can I use both the foot pedal and the hand held remote. Any experienced input would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know if this is any help... I have a "18 Terrova with iPilot Link networked with two Helix 10s. I can control the Terrova with the foot pedal, remote, or either Helix... so easy even I figured it out..
