Been a cold week, but the extended forecast shows a warming trend next week with highs in 50s in the Hayward area.

Just wondering if we already lost some of the smaller lakes in northern wisconsin, would think they would be back opened up soon if we did.

Yes, as I posted in the general discussion area earlier, the lake I live on in Oneida county is iced over this morning. At least one of the other small lakes in the chain is iced over as well. Both lakes are only a little over 100 acres and shallow, but do have channels with moving water in them. The channels are open but that is it. I am hoping it melts. Water is dark stained and if no new snow, sun should take care of the ice. That has been the pattern in past falls, but this October was colder than average.
