| im in the market for a 7 -9 inch gps,sonar unit. i'm a little gun shy with hummingbird units , i have 2= 7 inch helixs that have never worked properly. any suggestions on units under $900 with gps? thanks |

Location: Northern Illinois | Weird. I've had 3 birds - 800 series, 900 series, and a Helix 12. I've never had a problem with any of them. I still run the 998 and the Helix. |

Location: Chisholm, MN | My helix 7 was a little funky too. Some views were not visible. I still went with a gen 3 helix after that and it’s amazing. Can’t beat the price either for the best side imaging out there. Garmin would be a good option as well if you ever want to use livescope. That’s what I’m saving for. |
