This is a busy place, and it is only 3:45. Sue and I are manning the booth and talking ice fishing with the fanatics here. There are MANY innovative, new products out this year, take a look at IcefishingFIRST  for the pictures and descriptions.

Mr. Bluegill will be here tomorrow after he does an Ice seminar in the afternoon, allowing me to cover new products in more detail.

If you are in the area, stop in at the show and see us!

Actually, Sue is a dynamo here at the show. She gave out all 500 cards we had printed for the show by 2:30 Saturday, stopping folks in their tracks with the question,'Do oyu get on the internet?' If they said, 'Yes!', they learned all about IcefishingFIRST. Lots of people here, very busy show.

Steve,

The booth looks nice.... I may head out in the morning and try to get a few pike. If you guys have time when your heading back through the area stop in for a cup of coffee... We live 5 minutes off of your line of travel.

Well this morning I broke ice to launch the boat, then the boat was frozen on the trailler and it took 5 minute for the ice to let go. We were fishing all day avoiding ice chunks and through thin ice. Then back at the launch we have to move some more ice out of the way so I can get the boat out.

This is as close to ice fishing I am going to get.

BTW water temps were 32 and all we caught was ice.

TM,

Try spraying your bunks with silicone next time you have the boat in the water, Will help keep the boat from frezzing to the bunks. But be careful to keep the boat winched when backing down. The bunks will be slippery, and the boat will slide much easier. Don't want to see you dump your rig accidently.

How many more days do figure will you be able to get out?

TM,
I was just curious to know if you are still trolling spinnerbaits or using cranks etc.?

Well, the ride back was a hoot. I hit a 5 point buck with my F-150 dead center in the front bumper, too bad! Only damage, believe it or not, was my license plate. We sat for an hour as a train changed cars blocking Hwy 8 by Hwy Y. Got home sorta late, but what the heck, it was a great weekend!

Nope I believe the O is frozen as of now. It was 32 degrees water temps on Saturday and weather has not got over 20 yet. I still have a couple of days on the ole Larry coming up, Crossing my fingers that I or my partner hooks into a fatty yet.

I troll spinerbaits and cranks all year long but in early October the spinnerbaits get put to rest. We did get a big fish casting a topwater in mid October this fall.
