I see some jerkbait and crankbait have ring on nose. I removed it and use snap with wire. Why Musky lures have ring And what is it for? More action? Wire leader with snap to ring? Some jerkbait I just wire tie on nose and no snap at all. Tom Gelb use ring with wire and he don’t use snap. Which you like just snap or wire tie to ring?

i think what you are trying to ask isnt being answered. some lures have a ring because the built in loop is small and musky tackle snaps are large. the ring makes it where the snap is easy to use, otherwise its a real pain to change baits.

some say the ring helps action.

i use small lures, no rings and relatively small snaps.
