I got the Frabill weighted power catch with a 60 inch depth and am wondering if that or the big kahuna is better because the big kahuna has a larger hoop while the power catch is deeper

Question: do you fish alone? Just asking because I'm a pretty strong (versus say....my wife or nieces) and muscling a big fish into my power catch ain't easy. Imagining one handing a big kahuna sounds a little beyond worth sacrificing a big fish for a little bit of size on the net.

This is why I sold my frabil power catch last september when I found out I could get back to a beckman. Even the powercatch is tough to handle...especially when you have to move it in the wind or current.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the sturdiness of the net, but it was just too cumbersome to handle alone and my wife really struggled to work with it as well.

In your case, I wouldn't go any larger than the power catch...

It would be nice to have both. But I’ve got some pretty big fish in a power catch with no issues.

| That power net, given it is the heavier netting is a great net...its just heavy. It'll easily fit 50" and larger fish.

Just seeing if a bigger hoop size or its depth being deeper is better in case you guys are wondering its the 8840 that has the 60 inch depth option
