| Anybody else running a similar rig? I'd like to hear how you're supporting your outboard when trailering. Can our transoms reliably support the weight? If so, how are you keeping your outboard from turning when driving? I'm running a 250 yamaha.

I use this thing. Swivl-Eze Lock'N Stow Motor Stabilizer. Supports the engine, and keeps the motor from turning. Easy on and off, too.
Before that, I used a wedge and had some clips that went on the side of the motor to keep it from turning. The clips were a pain to take on and off, so I went Swivl-Eze. Very happy with it. |

Location: 31 | Agree the My Wedge stabilizing clips can be a bit of a pain. However, if 1 clips is tight, the other is always loose, just remove the loose 1 and turn the steering wheel... try not to lift them off at an angle too.
I had issues with the My Wedge white outside plastic casing spitting and began using 2 wedges for more support instead of the recommended 1 a few years ago, resolved that issue.
I really like the convenience of easily just keeping them in the boat while fishing.
