Location: Madison, WI | So right now, I'm running a Revo Toro S (5.3.1) and a Diawa Lexa 400 (7.1.1). Those are covering most of the bases, but wanted to get a third reel and debating between a gear ratio in the middle, or even an 8.1. What do you guys suggest? Thanks. |

Just my opinion, but that Lexa is plenty fast.
How about a slower reel? The Revo maxtoro is a solid reel and a bit slower than the S. |

| Depends on what you want to do with it. Big heavy stuff, little stuff, jerk bait/wtd, burning stuff. What you intend to do with it, will determine size and speed to get. Your current reels will cover most anything, depending on the rods you have them on. Might want to get a rod that will do something your current ones don't, and pair an appropriate reel with it. |

| it really depends on what you like to do and when and where you fish most. i have a revo winch 5.4, a lexa 6.3 and lexa 7.1. in the spring its the winch and 6.3 lexa because it slows you down. i use a lot of lipped minnow baits, so i value the power of the reel over speed. the 6.3 gets the most use because it can do it all. i mainly use the 7.1 for tops, jerks and rubber. anything faster than 7.1 would be too fast for me. |

Location: oswego, il | What others have said. What do you want to do with it. Based on what you have we could be talking a light setup revo 50, tranx or lexa300, curado. On the high end a grand 500. |
