Hi, looking for experience and or suggestions for a new bow mount trolling motor ~ 55 pound trust. This is for a 16' Lund Fury. My current setup is very old and isn't wireless. I don't require any fancy features just the usual speed - direction control. In the past I've always used Minn Kota for both bow and transit mount electric trolling motors. Some have cautioned me about other brands. Well I'm open and would appreciate your input.
Also due to physical limitations from paratrooping got to keep it simple and hopefully cost conscious.
Thks in advance,
Jim

The terrova is a bullet proof motor and easy to use. Having I-pilot is also a huge bonus. No need for I-pliot Link. The quick response to turning and speed changes are the main selling point for me, but I'm going on 7 years on the original motor and pedal which is awesome. I do not recommend the powerdrive for muskies. Too slow and the pedals break easily.

The Ulterra is more expensive and doesn't work as well in the cold, but may be a good option if you're feeling pain from manually deploying a motor.

If you're looking for a cable driven motor, the above mentioned will do you great.
