Some of the talk about the body suits got me thinking about how well a life jacket would work at this time of the year. Has anyone gone in at this time of the year wearing a life jacket? Are they enough protection?

You wouldn't last more then a few minutes with water tempratures in the low 40's with just a PVD on.But with a Mustang Survival Suit you could have an extra 15 to 20 minutes to get out of the water before you coooldown to the point you go unconcious. The odds are just that much better with the Survival Suit!

Definitely get a flotation suit!!! I fish in mine all fall and in the spring and they are roomy, lots of pockets, and warm. It is money ($300.00 CAN) well spent when you consider the alternative of falling in without one - and besides a decent rod/reel combo is usually around the $400.00 range and how many of these do we own??!!
