Posts: 122 Location: Roscoe IL | Like the title says, what is the biggest anyone has caught on the madison chain? I know Jeff Hanson lists 5 fish over 50" including 2 52" fish. a 52 is a monster anywhere IMO, but im just wondering how big theyve been caught in that system, has it given up a 54? Posts: 953 | Biggest that I personally know of that was legit is 52.25" Caught on Opening day last year. I personally have only seen one bigger than the 2- 52"s I caught and it was probably 53ish". I have heard of 54"-63" fish that people said they caught and never see a pic or if you do its not even close to that. Was article in paper here 10 years ago or so with the fish claiming to be 63" it was really maybe 48". I would guess a 52.5-53" has been caught and guys kept it quiet probably but who knows. With the leach lake fish getting bigger here some fish over 52" will be caught this year. 50" fish here are very rare. These lakes get the snot pounded out of them. I usually fish 200+ days every year and see 3-4 fish here over 50" the entire season. Jeff Hanson madisonmuskyguide.com Edited by Jeff Hanson 1/20/2020 4:53 PM

Location: Contrarian Island | Wally Banfuli had a 53" in the boat last year. I did not see the pic but talked to someone who did who thought it was legit.

Southern Wi really has "the goods" it seems like. As a new muskie fishermen, and having madison being the closest top notch fishery, its an exciting time!
