Yes, I was up North this last weekend and ice is coming and its coming fast. Any back bay area with no current is ice already. You should be able to fish however. Just not in all the spots you would like to fish in.

Jim,
Deer will be ok. You may have to break ice at that crappy landing but the lake will be fine. I was by there today and you can fish wherever you want to. I have not been up to Bone for a week or so but I was thinking of going up there this weekend as well. Keep an eye on this thread as I will make a call or two and find out about Bone. I will also do a drive by at the landing on Deer to let you know about the ice situation. I am sure however that you will be able to fish on Deer. Supposed to be close to 50 here on Tuesday. Also pretty warm this weekend.
