I’m building a handful of baits that will go through the thick stuff and was hoping to rig a tube for the same. Has anyone made their own rig for the red october tubes with inline singles? What’s the best way to attach a single hook onto a straight wire shaft? I’ve tried a few different methods on my own, but if somebody has “the way”, I’d rather not waste time trying to reinvent the wheel.

I rigged them with a very large weighted swimbait hooked and then skinned back in the surface of the tube. It worked great for a weedless jerkbait but the hookup ratio was not good.
