| We just returned from a weeks musky trip on Lac Seul. We stayed on a houseboat which we parked on Pine island. This lake is now my favorite fishing destination bar none. The water level rose about 12 inches while we were there, and water temps dropped from 52 to 48 during our weeks stay. I would love to say that we lit them up, however the weather conditions held us back a little. We managed 2- 45 in. skis, several 38 to 41 in fish and of course spotted a couple giants. One of the group landed a beautiful 46 in. northern, and walleye were fairly easy to catch. The houseboat experience was very positive. We used Lac Seul Floating Lodges, and the boats were set up nicely. If anyone is thinking of giving it a try I would say go for it. Thanks Dave |

| We had it brought out to its destination. From Hudson to the Pine island area its about a 40 mile trip. we arrived a few days after everyone else, so we had to bring our supplies and gear in our boat. LOADING ALL YOUR GEAR ON ThE HOUSEBOAT IN TOWN IS THE WAY TO GO. I believe the cost to have it brought out and back is 200. It truly is a special place. |

| Just out of curiosity, want to go to lac suel haven't yet. Pine island is a long ways from Chamberlain narrows correct? With the narrows being considered the central part of the best musky water? |

| Pine island did not seem that far from Chamberlain narrows. I would guess it to be about 10 to 12 miles. I agree with your your assessment that the chamberlain narrows would be a central area for the best musky water.The day we left, we fished our way back in and tied up to the houseboat at Bear narrows. we did catch and see fish well south of Chamberlain. Believe me, I am no expert on this water, but fished with some very good fisherman who gave me a crash course of the lake. It really is something. I hope you get to fish it soon. |

| If you fish lac seul and especially if you troll,,don't go with out a chain lure knocker retriever or it will be one expensive trip. |

| We fished out of Lac Seul Outposts, right in Chamberlain Narrows, and we didn't have to go far at all for muskie and walleye. You're right in the middle of it....

| Thank you for your help. We stayed in Dryden, at the best western and had no issues at all except for driving up to Hudson in rain and snow on Oct. 3rd. Then 45 miles from Hudson to Pine island in an open boat with all of our gear, man I was COLD. Great trip, great lake, great group of guys, and 1 gal. |

The group of single gals that are going to want to go with one guy on a Lac Seul houseboat adventure are probably not going to be either gals that you’re thinking of or gals you can afford. |
