Just read this in the Tribune this morning:
Tip of the Week:
New Regulation for 2003....."All live bait in excess of 8 inches in total length shall be rigged with a quick set rig. The hook shall be immediately set upon the strike. A quick set rig is defined as follows: a live bait rig with up to 2 treble hooks attached anywhere on the live bait; single hooks are PROHIBITED. This rule does not apply to trot lines, jug lines, etc., if allowed on the lake."
Take some notes, Wisconsin.

Asta la vista..circle hooks..the set the hook as soon as you get a stike rule is going to be a nightmare to prove for the dnr..good rule though.

JohnMD:
I was actually being sarcastic about the size limit. I know many sizeable lakes with muskie have 48" limits here in the flatlands. Now if you were also being sarcastic, then i suck.

Forget take notes wisconsin...INDIANA should be taking notes. The two big trophy lakes only have 36" limits and almost evry other boat I see drags meat.
