Posts: 5874 | Got out on Pewaukee with the Extreme One Friday night. Had a great time. I burned 2 on Bucktails. Mike got a 35 on a topwater, and friend Greg got a fat 47.5 and a 37.5 on topwater. Was a great night to be on the water, and I had a lot of fun.

Posts: 1996 Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | I fished the Kevin Worrall Memorial tourney on Pelican Lake this weekend with troyz. We were fortunate enough to boat a 46"er during tourney hours. It hit a Top Raider. Attachments ---------------- 04lv1st.jpg (47KB - 182 downloads)

| Right from Norm's web site. Norm forgot to mention above he took 1st place. Modest I guess. The Lakeview Tournament was held on Pelican Lake this last weekend. I was participating along with about 100 other boats. Early morning conditions were good and the fish were eating. Nine fish were caught during the tournament with 7 of them being in the first four hours. The two biggest a 42 and a 46 both came at 7:45 AM. I was lucky enough to boat the 46 incher on a Top Raider. It was enough to hold on to first place. No one doubled and the fish really shut down in the afternoon. The nine fish were as follows 46,42,38.5,38.5,38,37,36?,35?,34.5. Thanks to Rae and the crew at Lakeside for running a great tourney. Here is a pic of the fish that won it for Troy and myself. Let 'em Go, Let 'em Grow Norm Wild Jr Wild's Musky Guide Service | |||

Posts: 3242 Location: Racine, Wi | I had a great bad weekend. I was up at the Musky Classic with my dad and brother. We managed to see about 20 fish, LOST 7!!!!????, and saw the funniest reaction to a bait flying at my brother. I set the hook on a fish, missed it, and the bait was flying at the boat towards my brother, and all he could do was drop his rod. I laughed for 10 minutes straight!!! I asked him what that was going to do to help, and he said, It's all I could think of at the time. FLMAO. So only a dink in the boat, but saw lots of fish, and had lots of shots at them, but not much you can do, when you can't get a hook in them.

Location: Woodstock, IL | I was on the Manitowish Chain all last week. Worst fishing I've ever experienced. Only saw three fish the whole week and that was early in the trip. Didn't hook any of them. My father-in-law fished with light tackle and he only had a few hits from bass and pike. I even tried suckers with no results. The fishing highlight of the trip was on the last day. I was disgusted and stepping out of my boat onto the dock with the sucker rod in my hand. The small sucker dipped into the water as I took a step and I immediately had a strike. When I looked down I was amazed to see the biggest #*^@ smallmouth bass I've ever seen with my sucker in it's mouth. Unfortunately, it got off. Not sure how it happened with two trebles, but it did. My God that was a huge bass!

| Fished Pewaukee fri. night and lost 2. Bummer! Back at it Saturday night and scored a good one. 49-1/2" my personal best. Extreme was nearby and aided me greatly with the pictures and release. Thanks Koepp, I will try and post pictures soon. Will be back at it this evening after work, man the nights have been awesome these past 2 weeks. Mark Sankey----- aka SANKS | |||

Posts: 2112 Location: The Sportsman, home, or out on the water | Lori and my son and I fished Rhinelander waters this last weekend. We moved a couple, and I landed the hardest fighting fish of my career. Only 39", but the darn thing fought me like mad for a good 5-6 minutes! Talked to Roger Sabota at the boat launch at Boom Saturday afternoon, and he lost one. We fished Hancock and Boom Saturday, and George on Sunday before heading home.

Posts: 2515 Location: Waukesha & Land O Lakes, WI | Fished on Palmer and Tenderfoot for a total of 2.125 hrs. Had a nice one follow a Jackpot in...the rest of my time was spent window shopping at nice places like Peeple Lures, Blueberry Patch and all the other nice shops in Boulder Junction, Land o Lakes and Eagle River... Christmas, I paid $2.50 for a blueberry cream soda in Eagle River! I tried to make the turn into Heckels Marina in ER so i could check out a 618 Tiller, the little lady just kinda of looked at me out of the side of her eye and gave me a "hand scolding" (the index finger instead of the other one)...I thought after all that shopping, I deserved a "boat fix"......nope, had to settle at looking at porciline Bear sculptures and cute moose lamp shades. | i was in Vilas over near LdF on White Sand, and the week was brutal. it's clear water and i didn't even have a single follow for the first 4 days. argh. the walleye guys on the same lake were taking it on the chin too, only 8 'eyes in 4 days and they all had empty stomachs. but then friday morning i popped a very nice 43" suspended over 35 fow. (see the Sept. picture thread) best fight i've ever had from a muskie - just stayed deep taking line and absolutely refused to come up. this was at 8am, so roughly 8 hours pre-frontal. wind and clouds rolled in around 4, and by 8 that night the walleye were popping too, with the resort owner describing it as the best night of fishing since May - pulling one in literally every cast. it's amazing what the weather does, and it's amplified on those deep clear lakes.

Posts: 335 Location: Pulaski, WI | I got a 39" Saturday thanks to a tip from Roger (H20Tackle)I had nothing going on and called Roger. He had action in the shallow reeds, so I gave it a try. Very strong fish, actually pulled out my drag. Roger cam by and took pictures too (I was by myself.) Thanks Roger, John Attachments ---------------- Shawano1 muskie.jpg (180KB - 184 downloads)

Posts: 20281 Location: oswego, il | Way to go SD! We did not fare so well, we hit the well, a place we have never skunked and average 4 fish per trip. We got skunked, almost 13 hours of trolling and we had one bass, one rip and a small one jumped and got off. It felt like I challenged John Force to a drag race in a yugo.

Posts: 880 Location: New Berlin,Wisconsin,53151 | All right SANKS it only took you 80 day's on the water to beat my PB. I feel like you did last year. Have Koepp put the pictures he took on the site. You don't want to scare the boy's with the pictures you took. We'll have to kill the chicken before Cass... Way to go, you needed a fish like that...... Netman
