Do not take for granted any trip with your kids. Cherish every day with them. We got "lucky" with my son when he was diagnosed with cancer in that it was very treatable. But it scared the hell out of me. "Make a wish" stepped in and gave us a trip to Eagle Lake at North Shore Lodge. Scott and Kelly Jaeger were great with Make a Wish. My son , Jason, got his biggest at 46.5 and boated 3 in one day so we are not complaining!! I have had time to share with him and that is all that matters. Many are not as fortunate...cherish every day with your kids and loved ones.

Awesome trip and great video. Glad you could have a good time with your son.

His PB looked awful fat. What a nice fish.

Nice job Dave P!. I was welling up just reading your post.
Nice video, & excellent work on the fish. I don't even go fishing anymore
if my son won't go with & he's nineteen now & I have some competing interests
to deal with. lol. Good work!

Yeah it was a good thick fish. We hadn’t seen a lot of “bigger” fish (45” or greater). So when that one came around, it was nice.

Thanks..yeah, he did ok. Even though we had a few "bad weather" days and few times of us completely screwing up on active fish. Even sitting on the cabin deck during an incoming storm with him was worth it though.
