| cool video! It seems sometimes like muskies disappear, but they're there, guarding sunken boats. |

| They do it on purpose. I remember some years back, fishing on a stupid-hot, flat kind of day. Hadn't seen a fish in 6 hours, so we decided to take a break and eat lunch. As we're sitting there eating our sandwiches, I look down just in time to see a pretty decent muskie swimming past, about a foot below the surface and no more than 5 feet from the boat. I put down my sandwich and threw a few casts in the direction it was heading. Nothing. Back to my sandwich. "okay. Well, we saw a fish today!" One or two bites later: "Son of a %&*$!" There goes another one! We spent a good hour after that in the area. The only other fish we saw that day was right after I said "I don't know where those fish went, but it's nowhere near here!" That one went completely airborne and head first back into the water half a cast behind my lure. |
