Well I guess it only takes one fish to be able to catch one. I haven't heard great things but if it is good it's close to me so I'll be giving it a try. If you go let us know how you do. Good luck

very low density fishery which has not been stocked since the late 90s but does support some natural reproduction if you get lucky to find one it will likely be a big fish but you can spend 2 weeks there without even seeing one

Yeah I figured was hard to fish. I've caught hundreds of pike but have never seen a muskie but I'll keep trying. Very clear lake and has good deep weed edges. Maybe I should try trolling.

The problem with Loon is the crappy 20.00 boat launch.

biggest to date 31" on east loon. Lots of 18-27. Yeah I have a friend that lives on the lake. He has a launch key for the small launch in his subdivision. only costs me a case of beer a year.

Yeah I have seen a handful of Fingerling musky hanging by the public launch site in spring. but nothing of good size to catch.. My neighbor caught his largest Illinois fish there but that was years ago, He now fish's the chain mostly.

The biggest my buddy caught was 48 I've not caught anything big there but I seen a few. I'm sure the chain would be a better place to fish. But I think that if you put time in you will get one and I know for sure there are some big fish in there. But it's not a numbers lake by any means. But it's worth fishing in my opinion.

That is the best part of this lake.
