Posts: 2427 Location: Ft. Wayne Indiana | I am searching for a new boat cover. I know I can call the boat company and have them order one for me, but I was wondering if any of you have ever bought a boat cover from somewhere else other than from the boat company. I see a lot of sites on the net that sell them, but don't really like buying something without some kind of input. I don't want a thin cheap one, I want one that is going to last, and one that I can trailer. I also want a custom fit, not a semi-custom fit. Do any of you have any input, or places where I might look? Thanks, Mike Hulbert

Posts: 20281 Location: oswego, il | Mike, you seen the boat cover on my dad's boat and you all commented on how cool it was. You live in and around amish communities, my dad's cover is amish made. I bet there is a place close that could do it.

Posts: 1023 Location: Lafayette, IN | MIke, Since Tom and Steve live in IN why don't you look into "Coverite" in Buffalo, IN? They made my cover custom and you'd love it I'm sure. I wish I had a pic of it so you could see it. E-mail me if you want more info. They are a small family business with an incredible shop and will turn the job in a week easy. Lifetime guarantee on workmanship too. (depending on the material you choose of course). I chose one step below "Shark Skin" which is the top of the line. Tight as a (fill in what you want).

Posts: 291 Location: Mokena, IL | I bought one off of Ebay for cheap. It works great and saved me about $300, If I had the money I would get a custom cover made. Good luck.
