Who got out on the water, how did you do, any fun adventures from a crowded Southern WI opener?

Me and Mauser spent four days fishing West BG Virginia. We raised/saw/lost 16 fish, only one or two under 30. I got this 38.75 incher (he wouldn't give me 39 on it, bad partner!), and I lost what Mauser thought was my first 50 boatside right infront of him. We had a blast, the weather was near-perfect and we smiled the whole time. m

Yep Slammer, you’re right. Crowded SE Wi. Opener...

Think the morning air temps,(31),+ the cold water temps,(45)at 6am, dampened most bites. Most fish any one boat contacted was 4 that I talked with, but boated none of them. Most boats I talked with contacted 1 or none musky Saturday.

My boat Stuck 2 Ski’s this weekend. 35, and 41.5”.  Along with a 19” largie, and 17” eye....Creatures were our go too!!!

Got out for my first salmon trip of the year. Went 19 for 27 on coho in 2.5 hours kept our 3 man limit, rods just kept firing before we could get everything in. Only used 6 rods. 4 doubles and a triple. Got a fat bonus brown.

Fished for walleyes, caught northerns. Water was still in the low 40s, we need a few warm days.

I was one of those that saw zero and hooked less. JD found all the dumb ones. Fished all day Saturday and part of Sunday. Talked to only 2 boats that got one - JD might have been it. I know they're out there cuz I think I saw Hanson Sunday and they usually follow his boat.
Had a great weekend in Mad city

Todd is just trying to make us jealous of the beautiful scenery he gets to enjoy while fishing.

Keith and I hit walleye water Saturday and found them in 3'. The big smallmouth were going, and pike as well. Great general fishing opening day for sure in the North. baby Creatures for me, jig and GULP for Keith.

I wanted some abuse so I fished Big Creek for a few hours on Saturday. Muddy water, lots of boats, tons of gizzard shad everywhere, no bites or follows... I hate that lake but I suspect it contains the biggest fish on the state of Iowa, if anybody could ever catch it.

Nice Sam,
I caught my first Muskie with Brian a long time ago on a creeper. A few years after that I traded him a Weagle for that same creeper. Its a wall hanger now next to the picture.
Hired him many times out of the Tomahawk area and always caught fish. To say he created a monster would be an understatement, after that first Muskie I went bonkers. We wound up buying a cabin on lake Nakomis a few years after that. My wife caught her first muskie on Nakomis on a quick strike rig. Fun stuff and nice video!
Thanks for sharing that.

Got out Saturday in Iowa, weather had them moving. Smashing phantoms real shallow. Had my first 5 fish day. Nothing big all between 35 and 39.
Fantastic day

We trolled for lake trout for two hours after the limit. We came in and everyone who went out around the time we did was still trolling for ho's when we went in.

Fun opining day for me. Stuck a 40 inch muskie on a Phantom, a 19 inch bass and 30 inch pike all in a twenty minute window just after noon Saturday. Took a break at 2pm to gut my grass and some yard work. Snuck back out on Pewaukee at 6pm to catch a 37.5 inch muskie on a sucker and a big bass on a glider. Crazy good afternoon action as the morning was slooow. Muskies still spawing and a little beat up. Big bass are very active on big baits.

Got a THICK 43.5" fish Saturday morning on a glider, she pooped all over my boat in return. Painted some of my home build lures in the same "Canadian Crush" pattern that she bit yesterday in her honor.

Went down to Iowa for mother's day, and took the boat. Went out Saturday morning and caught a mid 30's on about my fifth cast.. Started raining, and didn't see another fish. Heard that a couple days earlier, that there were a bunch of them up shallow, like knee deep shallow.
