Looks like they are trying to expand its coverage, and if this takes off it will set a new president and many more will happen. http://www.bbcboards.net/showthread.php?t=947224

I am disgusted with what appears to be a quote... but really 20 other counties were at the last meeting chomping at the bit to do this. Also they logged only 500 hours at the site so chances are good everyone would be inconvenienced except the lake shore property owners.

Pretty creative work-around aimed at reducing the number of outsiders fishing "their water." Gotta hand it to those lake association folks..
Seems they got us in another tight spot.

Did they have a centralized station near Minnetonka or was it at individual ramps around the area? Can't find any info online since it is 'off-season". Headed up there next August.

Most of the main ramps on Tonka will have inspectors at them.

Great news, the MN DNR put an end to this farce in Wright County.

Yes but...........the Lake Association did a end run to the legislature bypassing the DNR and is gaining support. In fact I had read that it's up to the Senate to stop them.

These guys are just like the school bond crowd and the new stadium crowds. They never quit coming at you until everybody quits paying attention for a split second.
