On the whole Plano do a pretty good range of box’s but I feel a version of the 3730 with the slots running vertical instead of the 4 horizontal would be a good seller, if spaced out roughly the same there would be a 6 compartments. Many lures don’t need the full run of the 3730 and with a divider installed or without there is often about 3” - 4” of unusable space left - wasted space. I emailed Plano a few years ago with this very idea but never heard back. If they did it I know they would sell well and it would compliment not only the 3730 but also the 3731, so we’d have three boxes with the same external foot print but internally far better efficient storage options overall. Or am I overlooking another manufacture ? I’ve looked at Flambeau but nothing from them either in the equivalent size box.

I have a similarly sized tackle box , but it is 4" deep .
It has divided into 5 separate vertical sections and along with inserts will make 15 small compartments .

Manufactured by "Rozemeijer " but probably mainly for the European market .

just cut and glue it the way you want it .
i've always been modifying planos for bait fitment , for lip clearance too .

Fox Rage also have large storage options . This one is suitable for some DIY work .

Thanks Royboy, Pecheur do the Rozemeijer box in 3 sizes but forget to tell you the internal layouts ! I’m guessing the one you have pictured is the 28 x 22 x 10 cm, as a rule I don’t like lures in a tangled mess and unfortunately the 4” deep of these boxs either means one lure and wasted space or a couple of baits and tangled mess ! Worse still a tangled mess and blunt hooks. But if that’s all that is available then.....
danlaboucane, unfortunately there is no way on this planet that I could cut and modify a box to the standard I’d be happy with ! Heck even the multiple divider slots within each partition on the Plano’s annoy me.

The box in the picture measures 14 x 9 x 4" , (36 x 22 x10 cms ) .
Similar size to the Plano 3730 except for the extra depth .

The box in the link has the exact same external dimensions as the Plano 3730.

The thing about wishing for perfection is never being happy.

I've had lures get too hot in see-thru plastic boxes, perhaps the shaded one is an improvement but I don't trust them much. I like the hanging box set up like here:

Baits stay cool and well-organized, so long as I don't overpack. m
