If you were to make some 30" sucker rigs, do you have a problem with it being all "coiled up" when it comes off the spool? Also for storage after they are made, do you have to keep them stretched out?

thx much.

Don't coil them tight 1 ft coils will keep them from looking like a spring. I have used sufix flourocarbon and sufix supreme mono leaders for sucker leaders and all of my other leaders. on suckers I use 80lb flourocarbon or 100 pound mono. You can go to off shore angler and buy leader holders that keep them kink free and straight.

good fishin Chris

Flouro does have bad memory but it has never caused a problem. I make my leaders and sucker rigs out of it and I never have any tangling problems with it. I use 80lb as well.

I've been spooling a couple of my reels with 40# fluoro for a few yrs now. I have found that Blakemore's Reel Magic works quite well at relaxing the memory. It's really tough line and has served me well.
