Can anyone tell me if a prop from a standard Mercury gear case will work on a Command Thrust gear case? Both are 15 spline shafts and take the same hub kits. Motors are both 90 hp newer Mercury 4 strokes less than 4yrs old. I've got several I'm selling and need an update on compatibility. Thx

Hiya,

The quick answer is no. The standard gear case will be the normal gear case with 15 splines, but takes the smaller diameter hub.

The Command Thrust gear case is actually the 6 cylinder gear case but with a different gear ratio. It will be the bigger diameter hub.

Unfortunately the props will not be interchangeable.... The situation would set up much like the trophy series of props are designed to do...have ventilation over the outside diameter of the hub rather than completely through the hub (or with vent holes).
