Posts: 1735 | Sounds like I have a squirrel caught in my downspout on the house. My gutters drain underground so I don't know how he is gonna get out of there. I can hear him trying to climb up the vertical piece. It never occurred to me that this might happen.

Posts: 8782 | Those things are usually screwed together with sheet metal screws in at least a few places. If not, the only thing I can think of is pull the cover off whatever box that downspout drains into and hope he finds his way out. Or you could go all Caddyshack and blast him outta there...

If it happens again and it is a one piece spout and you can't get it apart, drop a length of rope down the spout and he will climb out.

Brian Hoffies - 4/25/2019 4:50 PM Wasn't looking to get him out. Had a friend who had a flying squirrel get trapped in an interior wall, didn't know it until his basement smelled like a dump. A dead squirrel will stink for a long time.

They didn't come any where near the Tub this Fall/Winter ! That’s an interesting name for a boat. What really goes on during your fishing outings?
