Posts: 2754 Location: Mauston, Wisconsin | Jason- saw your post & was thinking the same thing- you've been missing for way to long! Welcome back! I hope all is well w/ the Smith family (more important than fish w/ teeth). Look forward to sharing a boat in the future. Was thinking that it was one of the major ooop's in 2002 MF Cass Lake adventure, i.e., I didn't get to fish with more of the MF crew, including Mr. Smith & Worrall. Ranger- don't get bent out of shape- I wouldn't change a thing about the 2002 MF Cass Lake adventure, cause I had a great time. Besides I haven't seen a better net man! I'm definitely in for 2004- MF Cass Lake (really pissed I missed this year, i.e., because of business/day job, family would have been much better excuse). Mr. Sluggo, way to go. Theedz155, waaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh! ;-( Hope all is well up in the Chip. Fall's area. Watch out for Mark H. - bad influence, i.e., might have negative impact on Mrs. Smith's attitude. Ranger- Don't feel bad- I'd still fish with the Yooper guy over all other's, even if we didn't see a fish! So - if the front of the boat's open for 2004, I'm in! Al

Location: Athens, Ohio | Good to hear from ya again, Jason. Dunno what's up with Sponge, he's been on a couple times lately as 'me' with very brief messages, which is certianly out of character. I hope this Fall is very good for you! m Edited by mikie 10/2/2003 6:46 AM

Posts: 4520 Location: Chippewa Falls Wisconsin | Fish ON...I am busy with that family mostly but do get to fish Tues and Thurs evenings and the weekend.I fish with Mark Hintz mostly which has been a great time. I am working on these new waters, god knows I have never had a season on flowages. They are moody like a woman, they can come on strong and be your worst nightmare the next day...get my drift. Topwater has been the blessing..I have never had so much topwater action in a season...kinda fun! Last week I got a 47, 44 and some other low thirtys fish. Big fish are hard to come by around here with the "meaters" in the area. Mark and I both ran into a guy JUG fishing..he pitched out a big plasic bobber and put a perch on it with 4 feet of dacron below the bobber (no line tied to the bobber to a pole). When we told him it was 200 yards down the shoreline from where we had last saw it next to his boat, he so Ok...but still keep on fishing and did not care. We were fishing down the shoreline, and I thought I would retreive the guys bobber with my undertaker....low and behold a 35" muskie was below the BIG bobber. Then the guy got nervis and came over...said thanks to us. I told him he should not jug fish...he said he resented my additude because he has fished the lake for years. Go figure, if you are a meater...and fish the lake for years..illegal metheds must be OK then...I just dont get get!!!

Posts: 20278 Location: oswego, il | Jason, since that jug was so far away doesn't that constitute as an unattended line? Nice fish pics. Hope to see you in minnesota at the show.

Posts: 1936 Location: Eau Claire, WI | Todd, This does constitute an unattended line. I got the registration numbers off the boat. Let me just say that "word" has gotten out about these guys and we have quite a few people watching them who live on the lake. We will get this nipped in the bud.....
