| I've only had the standard ones,,,
Do the weighted ones sink on the pause or just barely rise
And do they have the same shimmy and wiggle or more straight ahead. |

| Slow rise. I would say they don’t have as much action but the buoyancy of the standard one is where some of the action comes from. Definitely worth having a few in the box. They fish deep weedlines well. |

Location: midwest | Get an insert weight kit yourself and weight some unweighted ones with screw in weights. That will give you the flexibility to determine the rate of rise you want on the fly. On big daddy's I usually run 3/8 oz to 1/2 oz depending on how slow I want the bait to rise. I also agree that as more weight is added the action becomes a little more deadened or muted, but that can be really good in real cold water where the hang time can be key. |

| Like as stated above--When ADDING WEIGHT to a dive and rise Bait---this will not only slow the rise---Most of the time it will take away some of the Action of the lure......Most are made of a buoyant wood and weight kills the dive/rise/wobble of lighter woods.....STILL--- sometimes that slow almost neutral buoyancy is the Key, so have a few in the box. |
