| Last weekend while trolling for salmon i would get random beeps. No real pattern. It would stop if i gave it a bit of throttle. Any ideas what this could be

Sure sounds like it is overheating.
I would check your thermostats.
Water Impeller would be my next best guess for you.

| Beeps are not really for telling you what your issue is, I would concur looking at thermostats as a cheep thing to do yourself if your competent , but I would recommend taking to a service shop and hope it stores a fault code |

Location: indiana | More than likely temp related. Goes away when more water is brought into engine to cool. Low oil beep would get worse with higher rpms. Look at impeller and possibly “poppit” valve if the optis have one. Fixed my 75 hp merc. |

| I had the same thing happen. New impeller fixed my issue. |

| I had beeps on my 200 opti...in my case the oil reservoir on the side of the engine was down 1/2 inch. I took the plug out of the top and ran the engine and brought it back up to full level and the beeping quit. That was 3 beeps every 2 min. |
