| Any word on water temps in Vilas? They've got to be sinking fast with these lower air temps.
Have a weekend trip planned for this Sat/Sun and plan on fishing shallow starting with bucktails/topwater and moving from there if there's no action. Any reports on current fish locations/behavior? Thanks. |

| I had 62* in douglas county last weekend. All action was on topwaters and jerkbaits in 6ft or less. With the temps this week I'm expecting low to mid 50's for this weekend |

| I was out for about 4 hours in drizzly rain yesterday in Oneida County. Air was mid fifties, but water was between 62 and 64. I was a little surprised it was still that warm, given some of the evening temps. But, we had sun on both Sat. and Sunday, which always helps keep temps up. |

Location: Vilas County, WI | My group was out over the weekend and again today. Fishing the Sayner and St Germain areas. Temps have been steadily dropping. Today I had 57-58 in the AM. Found spots that were 60 this afternoon. All cooler weather forecasted - they will continue to drop. |

| Thanks everybody. Expecting mid-high 50s this weekend which is what I was hoping for when scheduling this trip a while back. Hopefully can get some action since I haven't been out since late June. |
