I am running wires underneath the cap and I have tried probably 5 different brands and they all have fallen off after some time. Before going to Home Depot I thought I would ask. I am just gluing some wire holders to run cables to the bow from the console. (Seems like I have asked this before.) Thanks for any help.

2 part epoxy. Just hope you don't need to ever remove it.

Regardless of the brand, be sure to follow the instructions carefully. Many adhesives require some sort of surface prep. Maybe as simple as cleaning the surface with alcohol or scuffing with a 320 grit sandpaper.

What about taping something on? Some of the 3M body trim type tape is pretty darn sticky, but could still be removed if you wanted.

Also wondered about using adhesive backed velcro, depending on what the wire holders you have look like. My suggestions may come from my dislike of doing anything totally permanent to boats if I can help it, like drilling holes, etc...

Thanks for the suggestions. Surface prep is something I didn't spend much time with.

I did that years ago by putting the wires into a ball of silicone that was placed every 8’ to 10’ under the gunnel. They stayed in place for years and were easily removed when I replaced my depth finders. I used the same process twice and it was holding strong when I sold the boat. It was easy to clean the silicone off the wires after I removed the first unit.

why not use zip tie mounting tabs and zip ties? I agree about surface prep. I posted a link so you can see what I am talking about below.

Liquid nails works fine. I ran all my wires under the gunnel and used the cheapest hangers I could find from Walmart.

Hooks look like this, peel the adhesive off and put a dab of liquid nails on it. Prep your surface by wiping it down with a wet rag. Let your dab of liquid nails tack up a bit, then stick it where you want it. Pull it off, and put it back on this will help tack it uonome more and speed up drying. Let it sit for a few hours. Then hang your wires. Will be fully cured in 24 hrs. You'll never see the wires again, unless you need to pull them down. Here is a link to the hooks I use, ignore the price, they're like $2 in store.
