Location: SW Ohio | If the Helix 9 SI is the Mega version you'll need to install the Mega transducer to use the Mega feature. But you can use the 997's transducer, just need to change the transducer setting in the Helix. It works but the resolution will be less. Power requirements may be a bit different but I was able to run my Helix 10 SI Mega unit off my friend's older core DI power wires (wired into the dash fuse panel) without any issues. On my boat I have my power wires run directly to the battery. |
