Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | I was wondering if anyone can help me with this lake chain. I am trying to find a new lake to go to in late September. This chain kinda peaked my interest. Any pro or cons would help. Thanks again. |

| Marley420,sarcasm will get u nowhere my friend. With that said, check with the wis. dnr websites for stocking info, lake-link for info on topography with reviews and then just contact area Chamber of Commerce offices. Anyway, late September is a good time to visit the northwoods. Kdawg |

Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | Thanks kdawg for the reply. I have done what you have suggested. Just wanted a simple that lake this lake thing. Just trying not to waste time with so many lakes on the chain. I only have a few days of precious Muskie fishing. Not looking for any secret spots. Sometimes sarcasm is needed to make the situation funny, which this is with no replies. |

Location: oswego, il | The lakes really aren't that big. I would spend time on clear, island and alder. I am sure others will have different opinions on what lakes they like.

| Clear is a great choice---- Some nice easy structure to locate and holds fish...… The chain has its secrets--- I would say not many are going to give those away.... Lots of Summertime pressure from fishermen and boaters. I love the Mani Chain--- Have spend many vacations fishing and learning it--- Those lessons learned will remain for me and my family. CLEAR-- you can learn a lot about Clear Lake and get results in a weekend. |

Location: Almond, WI | The central chain gets a ton of boat traffic, I tend to avoid Mani, Spider, Stone and Fawn on weekends/holidays. The lakes at the ends--Island, Clear, and Rest are the biggest on the chain and seem to get a little less traffic. Clear and Rest have good public launches; for the central chain you have to use Greer's Pier on Spider which is $10. Spider is unfishable during the day due to boat traffic. |
