Has anyone cut a blade off a double bladed bucktail before, specifically a double 10? Will they run just fine? I searched and found a little information saying it will have a different vibration. I have a few too many double cowgirls that don't get thrown too much so I was considering cutting a blade off to try something different.

If you have a good diagonal cutter you can cut the clevis right next to the wire so there is no useless junk left over, I do this on spinnerbaits regularly because I feel like they go deeper without the Colorado In front of the willow

Yes you absolutely can. I’ve made a few stubburn double 8s into singles doing this

Would a single run any deeper than a double? If its not pulling quite as hard then theoretically it should, but I'm wondering if there's a noticeable difference like maybe 2' or more on a cast.

Doubt it - but if you want to get a little deeper, maybe just reel little slower. Haha, with everyone only using doubles these days... singles may be the new craze.

Our boats best day on the water was with single 10s.

2 blades = deeper than 1

Howdy,

Yes, this works, but the tail will not pulse out as before as it loses the vortex created by two blades.

Take care,
