The Public launch sucks IMHO(I better not say that or someone might think I'm trying to scare you away from the lake instead of being honest) but it's free, not as nice as the Matoska(sp?) landing. The Matoska landing is a fee ramp, I think it went up to $30-35 for the year? Both are total zoo's on the weekend but not too bad on a weekday.

Mataska Launch is $35 for non-WB residents.
Was there yesterday. Launch has some warning markers close to the south dock. Getting a shallow spot form all the power loading causing the sand/gravel to deposit toward the end of the dock. North side is still good.

They're talking about the white bear county park ramp off of highway 96.
