There only seems to be 1 resort on this lake, does anyone know of another place to stay on lake, hopefully on the water or within 10 min or less, perhaps a private rental? lookin for a week in early August- Not lookin for places on another lake unless its very close by - Any help would be much appreciated Thanks!

I assume you're talking about Balsam Beach, it's the only true resort on the lake.

However, the owners of the cabins at the former Red Squirrel Resort still sometimes rent them out when they aren't using them.

Yes i should have been more clear, I was talking about Balsam beach and after doing lots of research I did actually find Red squirrel, as well, e mailed them about a month ago and never heard back- their website is kinda wierd and there is no other contact info except for e mail- seems like cabins may be under construction or being remodeled, but there has been no updates or anything in a while- Thank you for trying to help though, perhaps someone may know a phone # for Red Squirrel's owners?
