Location: MN | Does anyone change the weights away from the default location? More weight toward the front or rear? The specific boards I'm interested in are the TX44 and SST Pro Mag. |

Location: Eastern Ontario | I got rid of my TX44's and now only use my mast system or Church Walleye boards. The walleye boards will pull my Hose Fatties which is what I normally use on boards or most other muskie baits in up to about 2 foot waves. I move the weight as far forward as possible to bite more water with the beveled surface I feel this makes it pull harder . |

Agreed. I went back to Church walleye boards too. Just slide the adjustable weight forward. |

Location: Eastern Ontario | When I was using my TX44's I stacked the 2 weight bars forward. When a big fish pulls a 44 under you really have something to deal with. If I ever went back to the 44's I would set them up to release the line possibly even running them off a separate rod to release from the lure rod, but then you might just as well run a mast system. One thing I do on Church boards is replace the back pin with one made from 1/8 stainless rod just a 90 deg bend to create a short handle and a couple of strokes of a hack saw to make a groove to hold the clip that retains the spring. When you put the board on the line hang it from the pin and spin it a couple of times then attach the line to the front clip. This will stop the board from sliding back on the braid yet will pull easily out when you want to remove the board. If you try this with plastic pins the line will cut in and not pull out. With the exception of something like ploughs or flat shads the walleye boards are all you need. |

Location: oswego, il | I upgraded all my church boards, walleye and tx 44 rrar release pins to the metal one. I do not own any gigantor trolling baits, never had an issue with more traditional stuff. |

| so the smaller one work better ? i hope it's not true because im waiting for my first tx44 and i am far to be impress with the walleye equivalent from offshore .at 4 mph with 10 inch lure the pboard was way behind the boat and the spread was that insignificant that it was useless.and it was not even a deep diver. maybe it could work with a wiley musky killer but other than that i can't imagine a walleye board with a deep diver at + 4 mph with a good spread or maybe the offshore is just a lot less efficient vs the church walleye ? |

Location: oswego, il | I have not had any problems with my tx 44 boards. They don't dive underwater. If anything the walleye boards can dive. When reeling them in don't pump the rod the slack and stall from the board is what can cause the board to want to dive. Never had it happen to the tx 44.
As far as the slide weight adjustment, it is a 10 second adjustment to however you want it. I run weight forward on the walleye board but if you are having issue with that board diving, put the weight back. |
