Posts: 1000 | Jeremy - 4/9/2018 1:07 PM tolle141 - 4/9/2018 12:33 PM Back to the original post... Tranx 400 is very similar to the TE, except with all of Shimano's new bells and whistles. Tranx 400 is more comfortable Tranx 400 is new. I would assume it's easy to get parts for, but I haven't had a failure yet so I couldn't tell you. TE is a classic, but it's much harder to get parts for nowadays. Frankly the 400A exceeded all of my expectations last year. I was optimistic about the reel, but I severely underestimated it's power and durability. I ran 10's for weeks last Aug/September. Never saw that coming. It actually feels better now than it did out of the box (felt a little dry at first). This helps tons. Just called Thornes... lol glad I could help given that this thread is spiraling. If you're calling thorne, i'd hold off until teh spring sale next weekend (?) Reels are usually 10-20% off Good luck! Ben T | ||
