| I pulled the bow plate off of my 2050 to get a sense for the wiring configuration and the attached picture is what I found. I have a Lowrance HDS unit that I need to power up front. I would prefer to use the electronics terminal shown in the picture but do not have a clue where to start...can someone with a similar rig or knowledge of this setup steer me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!

On that plate you should find black leafs going to one terminal block. Then, find an open spade to attach your black lead to. On another block, find an open spade and attach your red. Test by installing cord to unit and turn on your unit. If it powers up, you are all set.

| Thanks a ton for the replies! It sounds like I have been thinking about this correctly -- both wires from the Lowrance are connected to spades on the terminal block match the correct polarity. It appears that the bottom terminal block (ELECTRONICS TERMINAL) is for negative (black) leads and at least two of the terminals above that terminal are for positive (red) leads. Before connecting anything I have tested this logic with a multi-meter and it does not appear that there is any current running through the terminals...when I turn one of the switches (next to the terminal plate) on and test those while on I get a solid reading (12.3)...could it be that the open spades on the terminal block are attached to a switch (ACC) that needs to be turned on to get current? Location: Elk River, Minnesota | That could be the case. Is there another block open for your red wire? Possibly test that one to see if power is there without the switch?

| Thanks, Steve. I will check tonight and report back. It seems I am overthinking this when it is probably just a matter of figuring out switches, etc. on a boat. I have only owned it for a few days so everything on it is new to me. Thanks again!

| The control pad is not active until boat power is on and either console keypad or bow pad is activated by a touch. Power is supplied to the connections when either pad is active. The accessory switch does not need to be on.
The owners manual is your friend. |

| Thanks again for the help, guys. I checked everything again tonight following the wiring schematic and it turns out the issue was a blown fuse...swapped that and I have power at the terminal. |
