Yep.. i have put the boots to mine for 2 years of dub 10's. And ive said it on other threads, anyone who enjoys their S for blades, get a unbalanced Beast power handle on her and you will like it even more.

Posts: 841 Location: Southwest PA | Toro S is one heck of a reel. I'm going to have to try Jake's suggestion of handle now though! I beat mine up with double 10's and feel like it had something to prove against my doubts whenever I first tried it with them.

how's the toro vs calcutta 401 te ? i would like a low profile reel that can be left handed, for strange reason tranx don't make them and most anglers are right handed

Posts: 676 Location: Wisconsin | The Toro S 60's power handle seems to be pretty good. I would tend to shy away from the unbalanced ones as there has been tons of problems with those causing reels to engage in cast and damage parts, lose lures. I'm too old to learn to hold my reel sideways or have the knob down each time.....
