I'm in the market for a custom rod that will be dedicated to bucktails, 8s, 9s and the occasional 10. I've got a slingblade and while it has caught numerous fish, I feel it is to short.

i'm looking for some recommendations on where to get a custom rod built that isn't going to break the bank.

I like my 9'6" thorne bros XH predator. I would like more of a 9'4" next time though.

He does a great job and can build on a lot of different blanks including the TI blanks.

I had Keith at Pro Edge build me 3 customs this fall.. he made me one specifically for big blades w my tranx hg on it... great rod. I think he is building them for 260 which is crazy low for a custom rod these days...I hear guys spending $500 + and just go "huh"???
reach out to him on facebook

I have four of these and can't say enough about Frank's workman ship and ability to build exactly what you need.

I have a Thorne Bros rod and really like it. You can call the shop and talk to Lonnie and he will build exactly what you're looking for.

I had thorne bros add 2" and a medium flare to my big nasty and love it for blades - and most everything else for that matter
