Just curious how many boats do they generally get down to Cave Run and what percentage of those boats troll? Does the amount of boats trolling vary quite a bit tournament to tournament throughout the year?

They’ve been going to The Cave for many years and get pretty good attendance, usually close to full I believe. I was there in 2015 and I think there were around 115 teams. That year had extremely high water, like 30+ feet above summer pool so there were less trollers. If you were trolling you were wasting time, the fish were in shallow tight to shore. However, I would expect it to vary lake to lake and year to year. St. Claire should see a lot of trolling this year. Overall, you still see more casting in the PMTT than trolling

The PMTT Championship will be on the Indiana chain, which includes Tippecanoe, Webster & the Barbee chain. There will be 3 take off locations, one on each system.

If you’re thinking about getting in the trail I’d get your money in this week.

They are drawing ease-out numbers for the “ mega tourney” February 16. They don’t state the trail drawing from what I could find, but I’d assume it’s also the same day.

The regular PMTT trail teams and individual events will be drawn on the same day as the Mega.
