Posts: 3242 Location: Racine, Wi | I'm heading up north (minoqua/manitowish) on Friday night. I will be fishing with all kinds of people until Tuesday. I have most of the days covered, but I have to take the woman's uncles out on Sunday. Neither of them have caught many if any legals, and I just want them to have some action. I have a few ideas for lakes to try, but wondering if anybody has some ideas. You don't have to post them if you don't want, but a message would be nice. Also, I'm not looking to run rampent on your secret lake. I just want to get these guys smoking celebratory (sp) cigars! Then I can get back to chasing 40lbers on the Flambeau Chain. Good Lungen, Joel

Posts: 32957 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Also, look at Buckskin. Close by, lots of fish, and they are concentrated in the basin area. Pretty lake, with a good landing.

Long weed edge to the south (right) of the bridge from Round into Pike, weed edges on Amik, cribs and shorelines on Round. Save the big girls for Monday night if I can get out of here early enough to meet you up there.

Posts: 103 Location: Illinoise | I'll be up there this weekend too. I may try High Lake. We caught several smaller ones there the last week in June. Also, saw some bigger ones there as well, maybe I can hook into one this time. Good luck.

Posts: 3242 Location: Racine, Wi | Travis, thanks for the info, I will be fishing the Mani Chain on Saturday. I am hoping to do well there. I have in the past. Steve, I am staying right down the road from Buckskin, I might have to give that a shot. Never fished it before. I have also heard Ballard is a good #'s lake. I will try anything to get these boys some action. Thanks for the input. Any idea what the H2O temps are at right now and what the weather is looking like? Mike, I will get a hold of you before the weeks end to set something up.

Posts: 184 Location: Rockford Il 61108 | Ive fished the Manotowish Chain for years now and every time I fish the Northern bank of Alder lake and the mouth of the channel I have luck. I dont always catch but i do raise em up! Suicks work great here, and the trusty Doetails. On August 24th my father and I raised 4 fish in this area. Plenty of suspended cabbage and a beautiful lake. Nice walleye at night. have fun, keep plugging
