I just bought two Penn 9M reels for trolling. The clicker button doesn't stay down, it pops back up. Shouldn't you be able to slide it down and it stays there?
Thanks

yes it should. i use these reels to spoonplug with and i have never had an issue with the clicker. if it won't stay down, try rotating the spool slightly before engaging it. if that doesn't work, send it back to Penn.
